Copilotamos Carlos Sainz in a Peugeot 208 T16 R5 (video)
Who better than the WRC champion Carlos Sainz to take at full speed on a stretch of land in Portugal in a rally car. Spectacular!
I recently had the opportunity to co-pilot Miguel Molina in his Audi RS 5 DTM in the Jarama circuit. A spectacular experience that firsthand, from the same carrier, the speed racing car has a closed circuit. I always win a little more respect for the drivers when I have the opportunity to experience something.
But I was getting on a slope rally car, and the occasion was in the test Peugeot Sport with its 208 T16 R5. With the French car, Asturian José Antonio ‘Rocket’ Suarez participates in the WRC2, and will debut in the Rally of Portugal which takes place this week in the north of the country Luso.
In these tests, held on the other side of Portugal, near Faro (in the south), it was present Carlos Sainz, Peugeot driver in the Dakar and mentor Rocket Suarez. Madrid actively participated in the development of the car during the test, Besides giving advice and guidance to the young Spaniard.
Between passes and, Carlos Sainz invites us to climb co-drivers on a stretch of land, very narrow, very broken, with guardrails and ravines centimeters car … For those who have a lot of memory, you may like to know that just we passed the area where Jari-Matti Latvala gave 17 rollovers with Ford in Rally Portugal 2009.
A brutal experience, which we live, we bring you now video.
